The Challenger ATR 3 is one of our most versatile running shoes, praised for its ability to perform on roads, trails, mountain passes, and everything in between. Similar to its sister shoe the Clifton 3 but intended for off-road use, the Challenger offers 4mm lugs for traction and grip on non-road surfaces, yet is not so aggressive that it can’t be worn on man-made materials either.
The Wings Pro 2 are a newer pair of trail shoes from Salomon. They are an improvement over the older XT Wings. Similar to the Slab-Wings offering a little more width and volume in the midfoot and toe area. The Wings Pro 2 are slightly heavier than the Slab-Wings, but the added weight increases the durability.
Stability and protection combined with a traditional lacing system and breathable upper make X-Ultra Prime a great value for hikers who like to move fast on technical terrain.
If you like the Salomon XA Pro 3D – imagine a shoe with even better grip, more durable tread, designed for fast hiking. We think you will fall in love with this shoe!
Road Shoe – Great for road runs.
For 2015, the award-winning Clifton receives an updated upper with a focus on lightweight comfort in the CLIFTON 2. A softer, lightly padded tongue provides increased protection across the foot, and structural overlays improve midfoot support. The industry-leading ride remains unchanged, and the road-focused outsole includes strategically placed rubber pods to improve durability. When all is said and done, one of our favorite shoes just got better.
