Matador Blanket, Matador Mini

  1. Lantau Base Camp

Living on Lantau I spend a lot of time outdoors. That is why I moved here. I like to run, hike, swim, all over the island. When I was introduced to Matador I saw a place for the product in my outdoor gear. I saw a place for it with other outdoor people on Lantau. I see myself taking it when I travel. I don’t know of another reusable foldable blanket that is as durable and packs as small.

Have used mine twice. I bought the Matador Blanket and took it on a hike with me. I planned to sit out atop one of my favourite mountaintops on Lantau. Used the blanket and two hikers came along and asked about it. When I showed them how small it is packed they were impressed.

I used it at the beach when I finished a run. Opened up the blanket and sat down for a while. Leaving the beach it took a few shakes and I was not carrying sand or brushing off sand like before.
I used to carry one of those bamboo foldable beach mats. It always collected sand which got into my pack, on the floor at home etc… Not with my Matador Blanket. Bye bye bamboo mat – you were too bulky anyway.

I see my self using it at races for CP support. One thing I don’t like is only having a dirty or wet spot to sit down, meet my support crew and change gear or food. CP stops should be clean and comfortable. If I crew for friends I can claim a nice spot with my Matador blanket and lay out their food and gear.

A small, durable, highly useful, washable, and reusable blanket. Totally worth the cost. I’m sending a few to my family in the US. That is why we sell it at LBC.
